Welcome to the sociopolitical musings of John Klumpp! I have created this blog at the behest of friends and relatives who, in accordance with the times, wanted me to annoy them with my social political commentary in a virtual environment. If they think this will keep me from annoying them in person they are sadly mistaken, because most of my opinions are formed while engaging in dialogue (thus my unnerving shifts in position mid-argument). I do not think about these things for a living, nor do I wish to. Frankly, thinking about the real world part-time is depressing enough. My credentials include a B.S. in physics, with secondary concentrations in mathematics and government. So basically I'm just an ordinary news-addict with no formal expertise in any of the things I'm talking about. Why should you believe anything I have to say, then? You're right, you shouldn't.
